This is the ONLY diet soda I ever intend to review!
I didn't realize it was diet until after I got it home. But this is for
the kind folks who requested a chocolate soda write-up... cheers!
Can appearance:
Cheerful can from Select Beverages of Illinois. Note the
difference between mid-west pop (like Vernors and Canfield's) and the
California stuff (like Skelteens and New World Beverage). The graphics
aren't strange or funny, but the soda is GREAT!
Soda appearance:
Deep chocolate brown with a high foamy head.
Smell:
Fudgy chocolate! Oh boy - I'm gonna LOVE this one!
First Impression of taste:
Fudgy chocolate! I DO love this one! Oh boy - a way to
drink my chocolate, besides quick, cocoa, and licking the brownie batter
bowl!
Second Impression:
Pleasant strong taste of vanilla, and a disappointing hint
of the aspartame. That can't be helped in a diet soda, so I wont hold
it against them.
Flavor:
Chocolate! Just like they said! And no weird other stuff
added to it (like mushrooms, hot sauce, dill, or the like).
Carbonation:
Huge root-beer like head to it that quickly died to a light
carbonation.
Full Description:
Oh man, I feel like donning a Canadian Mounty suit and
singing! But I really like chocolate (can you tell?). James and I are
fighting over the can. I'm glad I picked up a 6-pack. I'm really glad it's
in my supermarket!!!
Score:
James and I both give this a five. Greg was eating some
Oreo cookie cereal, so he felt he couldn't help us with this.
